Mr Lagerfeld does it again, with an amazing catwalk show for the Chanel Ready to Wear AW14/15 collection

A Chanel supermarket, who wouldn't want to shop there!

Cara Delevigne opened the show in sugar pink sports luxe, complete with ripped cropped top, jogging pants, Chanel leather & metal belly chain, trainers and a full length tweed coat

Indeed the Sports Luxe trend reigned supreme throughout the collection with a casual 80's vibe...

The classic Chanel tweed jacket & suit was reworked with boiler suits, leggings, cropped jackets, featuring metallics, leather & sequins

Trainers and flat knee high lace up boots were the footwear de jour, with stylish comfort being the message from Chanel for next season

Initially the collection seemed geared towards a young clientele, appealing to the Cara Delevigne & Kendall Jenner generation (who also walked the show)

Then you see Stella Tennant emerge in a tailored tweed dress with leather leggings, offering a more sophisticated display of the collection

Retro shapes and colours were also strong with swing coats and tailored pants in orange, lime, yellow and dusky pink shades revealing a Japanese Pop Art style printed lining

Karl Lagerfeld always finds a playful way to integrate the Chanel trademark leather & chain detailing, and he surpassed himself yet again, with what has to be the 'must have'  accessory for the weekly shop...a Chanel Shopping Basket, complete with leather and chain trim, also available in a mini version!!

I bet quite a few models took these baskets with them, full of Chanel goodies, though sadly I reckon these were simply show props....shame!

A gorgeous collection and cleverly curated with pieces for every Chanel lover, young & slightly older!!
